You’ve been missing burgers, haven’t you? :-)

The best part about these buns ? It’s to reconnect with homemade burgers while on a grain-free diet.

If you were used to making your own burgers, the instructions below will sound very familiar.

And you were not, it’s time to play with the big boys ! 😉

You will need 1 hamburger/person, tomatoes, cucumbers or pickles, fresh lettuce, mayonnaise and mustard. Fried Bacon is optional (it’s one more task, one more pan to clean up…. and you don’t really need it with the mustard and homemade mayo. But yeah, bacon is so good… up to you!)

Once you’ve gathered these toppings, it’s a breeze!

Cut the burger. On the base, spread some mustard. On the top, spread some mayonnaise.

Then take the base and build one layer at a time :

  • lettuce (try to take the largest leaves, they’re more even)
  • 2-3 slices of tomato, or 4 halves of grape tomatoes
  • 3-4 slices of cucumber
  • bacon (optional)
  • more mayo if you’re a fan 🙂

Once this part is ready, sear your hamburgers in a hot pan. Once they’re done to your liking, drop one on your burger, and top with the second half of the bun.

That’s it ! Serve with a salad on the side, or raw cut vegetables ( bell peppers, grape tomatoes, cucumber, more lettuce….).
I recommend adding my go-to vinaigrette on top of the salad !
