I’m-in-a-rush almond milk (3′)

Looking for a quick and creamy homemade almond milk recipe ? Look no further.

This recipe is the easiest thing ever.

2 ingredients.

Blend.

Ready.

What else ? 😉

Cold milk

For the base recipe, you’ll only need a high-speed blender, and two ingredients : almond flour, and water.

Warm milk

Instructions are very simple : add the almond flour to your blender, and cover with water (not more).

Blend 15 to 20 seconds on high speed until smooth and creamy.

Then, add water up to 1L.

It’s time for add-ons if you’d like some: vanilla and/or honey.
I do like to keep it plain, without flavor or sweetener, so that I can use it in savory dishes, like:

Blend 15-20 more seconds.

That’s it. Look at this beautiful foamy homemade almond milk!

Pour in a jar and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Pairs well with :

  • Coffee : I love coffee, I LOOOOOOVE coffee. I have this Breville coffee machine, which I love as much as I love coffee ;-).
Last year for Christmas, Pierre Hermé, the famous French Pastry Chef, created 3 limited edition coffee pods for Nespresso. The “double expresso” variety was so good, that I won’t admit how many pods I stored (maybe enough for the next 10 years :-D).
Unfortunately, regular coffee a treat I can only have a few times a year – coffee is very acidic for the body. It also dehydrates a lot, and I’m too busy to deal with coffee induced headaches.
However, instant coffee is basic, and less dehydrating. But it’s quite difficult to find a good instant coffee. I found this one which is a good compromise if you like the coffee flavor, but don’t do well with regular coffee.
