About

The Greek physician Hippocrates is often credited with the phrase “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”.
If you’re reading this page, it probably means you’re ready for some Cooking Evolution 🙂

Mother of four kids, their different digestive issues lead me to discover the Specific Carbohydrate Diet 10 years ago.

It’s been a life changer for the whole family.

It’s not only about gut diseases, it actually solves a lot of problems that medication is unable don’t treat on long term : heartburn, fibromyalgia, nose bleeding, migraines, allergies, low blood vitamin levels, hectic and heavy flow periods, joints pain, back pain, persistent tiredness, weight gain, cold sores, thyroid….

We’ve been following this diet strictly for 2 years. Today, we’re all healthy, and still eating SCD most of the time. By choice. Why ? Because we feel really good. However, we can now handle a few exceptions here and there (mostly family birthdays and Christmas meals).

As a French gourmet, I love to eat. And I love to eat TASTY. At first, and even up to now, most recipes for the SCD were/are all about replacing grains with almond flour.

I don’t want to eat a pizza made with almond flour (yuck). I don’t want to thicken a meat gravy with almond flour (double yuck).

On this blog, you’ll find the best results I got through the years, after researching, experimenting again and again, and bringing every recipe to its utmost version.

Also, having 4 kids, and a family eating for 12 (not even kidding), I need to cook a lot, but can’t spend hours in the kitchen. I know most of you need to do this diet, but are lacking time, and in need of shortcuts ! Look no further…. After 10 years, I became a shortcut specialist 🙂

For French people, food is life. Now, welcome to your (new) life ;-).
